Data Protection Bill 2025

The Data Protection Bill 2025 passed its first reading in Parliament on April 1, 2025. The bill establishes a legal framework for regulating the processing of personal data, defining individuals’ rights concerning their personal data, and promoting the beneficial use of personal data in Kiribati’s digital economy, along with other related purposes.
