The Cybersecurity Act 2026 is Kiribati's national law for protecting the country against cyber threats. It makes the Digital Transformation Office (DTO) responsible for national cybersecurity, sets rules for protecting critical infrastructure and requires operators to manage risks and report serious incidents quickly. It also establishes the National CERT and the Kiribati Cybersecurity Working Group to coordinate the country's cyber defences and initiatives.
